What are hue, saturation, luminosity, and vibrance?

What is Hue?

A hue is an actual color on the color wheel—examples: Red, green, blue, etc.
We can modify the hue in photoshop. Open your photo in photoshop.

Click on the "Create new fill or adjustment layer".

Select Hue and Saturation. 


Click on the "Hue Adjustment layer thumbnail"

Select the color on the Hue slider.

What is Saturation/color intensity/chroma?

This is how bright or dull a color is. Examples: Bright green or dull green. Saturation modifies the color intensity and enhances every color in an image.

Modify Saturation/color intensity/chroma with the slider:

What is Luminosity (Value)?

This is how much lightness or darkness a color is. In other words, value is how light or dark a hue is.

Modify lightness or darkness with the slider:

Lightness +13 in photoshop

What is Vibrance?

It enhances specific colors that are more muted (low saturated color). 
Modify the vibrance: Click on the "Create new fill or adjustment layer". Select Vibrance.

Modify Vibrance with the slider:

If you are not satisfied with the vibrance modification, you can modify the color with the saturation slider underneath the Vibrance slider as well.
